WOMAN INJURED IN HIT AND RUN
Iowa City police said a woman in a wheelchair was struck Sunday by a car that fled the scene. Police responded to the hit and run at 2470 Lakeside Drive at 7:41 p.m. The victim told officers she was trying to get inside her van when she saw the car approach. Police said the woman tried to avoid the car but was struck. The car did not stop, police said. More

POLICE INVESTIGATING PURSE SNATCHING
Iowa City Police are investigating a purse snatching that occurred Friday at Kmart. According to police, the 72-year-old victim was inside the store when the suspect grabbed her purse from her shopping cart. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen near the intersection of Broadway Street and Cross Park Avenue. More

MAN STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES
Iowa City police said a man was stabbed multiple times Tuesday night near downtown Iowa City. Police said the Johnson County Sheriff's Office received a cell phone call at 10:34 p.m. from an individual who said he'd been stabbed but didn't know where he was. More

MAN PUNCHED ON PED MALL
Police are searching for two suspects after a report of an assault on the ped mall early Tuesday morning. At approximately 1:58 a.m. today, Iowa City police received a cell phone report of an assault that had just occurred. The caller reported he'd been punched while in the pedestrian mall, 100 E College St, and was now following the person. More
